DIRECTOR OF FINANCE CANDIDATES
D. Blaze Johnson
I have been an active member of CMA since joining. I have previously served in the capacity of AED and as Interim ED. I am acutely aware of the requirements and responsibilities of serving on the Board.
I have decided to offer to serve in the capacity of Finance Director because of my love for the land and the organization. It is important for the leadership of CMA to have a board with strong management and financial background, as well as life experience. CMA needs leadership with emotional maturity. CMA needs leadership that can listen to others opinions, admit mistakes, and take responsibility. I believe I bring all of these to the table.
CMA must begin the refinancing process, and I know I can assist with this. Additionally, I want to ensure continuation of the positive improvements currently being made to the facilities on the land and to the corporate policies.
Past Relevant Experience:
I have over 20 years of corporate management experience, including non-profit boards. Responsibilities include profit and loss of projects ranging from 1 million to 15 million dollars including contract negotiations, personnel and marketing issues,as well as managing finances.
I am committed spiritual growth, empowerment, building community, and promoting healing change in our community and ourselves.
I am committed to CMA and believe I have the necessary skills required to help facilitate and secure the future of CMA. I humbly ask for your vote of confidence.
