Attendance Requirements

Attendence at all CMA-run festivals requires the following:

  • A current CMA Membership
  • A valid Event Registration
  • Two hours of Community Service during the event*

* Community Service can be exempted under certain circumstances. Please see the Community Service page for more information + descriptions of types of service

Setup + Teardown Crews

Approval is required prior to being considered part of these teams, and availability can be limited.

Requests to join these teams are part of the "Community Service: 1st Choice" options on the Festival Registration Form. 
You will be required to select a 2nd Choice option, as well, in the event that Setup or Teardown crews spaces are no longer available.

**No one will be allowed to be part of Setup or Teardown Teams without a current membership AND valid Festival Registration.**

Teardown Crew

Setup Crew is responsible for the complete onsite preparation of Festival. 

Setup runs from MONDAY, 16 Apr 2018 through WEDNESDAY, 18 Apr 2018. It will be run and managed by our AED (Samazon) and our DoPA (Gary).

NOTE: There is a Set Up WORKEND from Friday, 13 April 2018 - Sunday, 15 April 2018, which ALL MEMBERS are welcome to attend, but does not count as a replacement for your festival community service. The Ranch Team will be handling the management of the Set Up WORKEND.

Those wishing to attend Set Up (not just the Set Up Work-End) will need to select "Set-Up Crew" as their first-choice community service option during registration. Selection does not guarantee a spot! You will receive a separate email confirmation of your approval to be part of the Set Up team, which will contain further instructions & information.

Set-Up acceptance concludes the same day registration closes (Monday, 9 April 2018).

If you are unable to participate in Set-Up after being approved, you will be expected to complete community service during festival instead.

Teardown Crew goes through after Festival and breaks down temporary community structures, doing a final tidying-up of the Land.

Teardown is on Monday, 23 Apr 2018 and will be run by the DoMS(Cliffie).

NOTE: There is also a Teardown Workend on Friday, 4 May 2018 - Sunday, 6 May 2018, which is a separate event to which ALL MEMBERS are welcome to attend, but does not count as a replacement for your festival community service. The Ranch Team will be handling management of the Tear Down Workend

Those wishing to attend Tear Down will need to select "Tear Down Crew" as their first-choice community service option during registration. Selection does not guarantee a spot! You will receive a separate email confirmation of your approval to be part of the Tear Down team, which will contain further instructions & information.

Tear Down acceptance concludes the same day registration closes (Monday, 9 April 2018).

Wednesday Entry

Some of our members like to show up the day before festival officially starts to get their camp set up and be settled when the events start occurring.

Wednesday Entry is an additional $25 to your registration.

Certain individuals are waived the Wednesday Entry fee, due to serving as sacred space coordinators, previous board members, and festival staff. Lifetime w/Event Membership holders are also exempt from the Wednesday Entry Fee.

If you are exempted from the Wednesday Fee:

  1. Select "Yes" for Wednesday Entry
  2. Choose "Invoice Me" instead of paying.
  3. Email the Internet Admin to let us know you've completed the above: internetadmin@magickal-arts.org
We will waive the $25 after verifying your exemption, and notify you so that you can pay the updated invoice at your convenience.

Workshop + Event Submissions

Our events are entirely volunteer run. If you have a ritual, a workshop, an event, or something else that you'd like to reserve space for or put on our Festival Schedule, please let us know!

Your submissions will get sent to our Festival Schedule Coordinator to make sure that all the details are just right. 

Please Note: Not everyone is guaranteed to have their events/workshops approved for their first pick of location and time. Our Festival Schedule Coordinator will be working very hard to tetris everything together to make it work as well as possible!

Work Exchange

We work very hard to accommodate the needs of our members. Our Work Exchange program is a way for us to offer substantially discounted festival registration in exchange for additional community service hours.

In order to get signed up for the Work Exchange program, you will need to fill out your registration for festival but instead of paying, you need to select the  "Invoice Me" option. Once that has been completed, please fill out the following form to proceed with the approval process.

LAST MINUTE REQUESTS WILL BE DENIED.

Only current members of CMA will be eligible for the Work Exchange Program.

All Work Exchange requests are subject to approval by the Board of Directors and requests are NOT guaranteed to be approved

Any registration with an amount still owed will require complete payment before participation is allowed in the event.

Vending Information

Vendors must be active CMA members in good standing
Vendor Sign-Up is an option on the registration form, and all Vendors must have a valid festival registration to attend festival.

Vending Space pricing is currently as follows:

  • 10'x10' space: $21
  • 10'x20' space: $42
  • 10'x10' + 10'x20' spaces: $63
  • 10'x20' + 10'x20' spaces: $84
  • Electricity: $25
